Each chalet on Blackwood Banks is completely private, in a peaceful setting, perfect for relaxing on the verandah to enjoy the many native birds that will visit you.````On the doorstep you can take a walk along the river bank or state forest surrounding this 25 acre property, marvel at the many species of birds, flora and fauna.````In the early evening Kangaroos and emus venture out of the forest.

There are so many reasons to visit Nannup and the Blue House B&B is just one more. This Queenslander-style house is warm and welcoming and each bedroom opens directly on to the verandah, making the most of the lovely valley views and the 5 acres of land, bordered by river and forest.

The Blue House has three bedrooms and offers the best of traditional homestay accommodation, where the owners are there when you need them and melt into the background when you want privacy. Quality linen and bedding and a delicious breakfast menu are must-haves when it comes to B&B accommodation… and the Blue House certainly shines here.

One bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite and there is also a room with twin beds and another with a double bed. These two rooms share the separate toilet and bathroom. The guest reading room has a double sofa bed, meaning that the house can sleep a total of 8 people, when booked by a group. Evening meals and/or picnic hampers for groups of 4-6 can be catered for – just have a chat with Susan and Michael and let them know what you need.

The Blue House is the perfect base to make the most of this beautiful region of WA … even if the most you want to do is sit on the verandah, read a book and sip a glass of wine, or stare at the immensity of the night sky away from the light pollution of the city.

However, those who like a little action with their holiday will be pleased to know that the Munda Biddi off-road cycle trail runs alongside the Blue House. This trail will (when completed) go from Perth to Albany, mostly following unused railway lines. It currently runs from Perth to Manjimup and is increasing in popularity, as it is WA’s first off road cycle trail – and it runs through a region of staggering natural beauty.

Chestnut Cottage Farmstay

For something different, relaxing and away from the Madding crowds, Chestnut Cottage is the answer.  A Farmstay on a working sweet chestnut farm, with gorgeous views across the valley and paddocks where cattle graze, it is an idyllic location to escape the city and chill out.  A Chestnut Experience farm tour is offered to Farmstay guests free of charge and there is a small farm shop on the farm where farm produce can be purchased.  Chestnut Cottage is a great option for couples or families.  Guests can wander the beautiful Chestnut Forests, feed the farm animals, walking meditate on the labyrinth and stargaze at night.  No better way to recharge your soul batteries.

Nannup is the historic mill town nearby and is just 30 minutes from the Busselton Margaret River Airport.  Being in the centre of the south west cape it is a great little spot to explore the whole south west region.

Take the time to relieve the stress of city living, in your very own luxury chalet (two only). Nannup is a quaint historic town nestled on the banks of the Blackwood River and surrounded by magnificent native forests and rolling green farmlands, in the heart of an ever growing wine region in the South West of Western Australia. Located 300 kilometres south of Perth, Nannup is an hour’s drive from Margaret River, Busselton and Pemberton.

Holberry House features six elegantly appointed guest rooms, one with a spa. Each room is furnished with antiques and has ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Downstairs is a large guest lounge with open log fire, conservatory and dining room. There is a pool for summer relaxation.

You can walk to the art and woodcraft galleries, restaurants, antique shops and vineyards. There are many walk trails both along the river bank and through the hill top and forests surrounding the townsite. The Bibbulmun Track is only 12 kms away and the Munda Biddi cycle trail passes directly through Nannup.

There are many events in the area and Nannup, the Garden Village, celebrates gardens in the autumn and winter months with wondrous displays of autumn colour, tulips and daffodils, then a regional Festival in November. The gardens of Holberry House are open daily for visitors to enjoy. Entry is $4.00 per person to the donation box at the front gates.

There are many attractions around Nannup including cheese tasting, canoeing, bird-watching, walking, cycling and vineyards.

Holberry House offers a relaxing alternative with warm country hospitality in a beautiful rural town.

Rustic self contained cabins individually set in tranquil forest surroundings. The cabins are 5kms from the quaint township of Nannup and offer a forty acre property with two Clydesdales, a donkey, lots of geese and kangaroos grazing at dusk. Cabins have ceiling fans for summer and a pot belly stove for winter(wood provided. Each cabin has its own gas BBQ. Linen is provided and all beds have doonas pillows and electric blankets. Bath towels are also provided. The bathrooms have full sized baths as well as showers. A CALM walking track borders our property. A natural swimming pool is 7km from the cabins.

Luxury four & half star bed & breakfast in a very peaceful rural/forest setting with abundant birds and animals on 10 acreas. Gourmet breakfast included and dinner by arrangement. A large cottage garden with roses and perennials surrounds the house. Nannup Bush Retreat is a fantastic eco-friendly retreat suitable for families or a romantic getaway for couples, set on the edge of the bush with a spring fed swimming hole, eight metre long jetty and rope swing along with bush walks and great outdoor activities for all the family.

The retreat was built with handmade concrete blocks formed into double thick walls resulting in a wonderfully cool house in summer & of course it keeps the house nice and cosy in winter with the wood fire glowing away. Winter is a great time to relax in the outdoor hot bathtubs and soak up the serenity.

Nannup Bush retreat provides homestead-style accommodation, with wide verandas offering unrestricted vistas over beautiful bush land scenery. Suitable for up to six adults and three children at a time, you’ll be guaranteed a great experience and a relaxing stay.

Two types of accommodation are on offer;

- Two fully self-contained spa cottages nestled in the treetops with an outdoor balcony spas and log fires which are separate to the main house. 

- Two executive suite rooms attaches to the main house as guest suits. One is wheelchair accessible and both have ensuite bathrooms.

All guests can include a cheese platter or dinner upon arrival, all bookings need to be made prior to arrival.

Nannup is located within approximately a 45 minute radius of all the man South West WA towns.

A traditional dining room is available for continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Substantial home style meals are prepared on the premises by our experienced staff. There are a host of things to see and do in the area, all within easy reach of the Nannup Hotel. Walk to the gardens, the river, shops and restaurants in the town centre.

Enjoy the picturesque brook that flows through the property of 80 hectares, a working cattle and deer farm. Relax and take in the country life. Enjoy ample walks, the fruits of the orchard, a swim in the pool or go fishing for trout or marron in the brook.
